03:16 pm - Quick question for the Brits Whoa, another post after only a day... I love weekends ;)
Anyway, what I wanted to ask is if someone from England who has iTunes could check the iTunes UK store of http://www.shortsinternational.com/ and check if they have "Terrible Kisses" for sale there - because someone posted it on Youtube with a shortsinternational intro, so it has to be around somewhere. (I unfortunately can't check the UK store from Austria, and there's nothing at all in the Austria store)
Thanks in advance!

09:39 am - There goes my webspace... Just a little heads-up - it seems my Uni webspace was deleted now (not to wonder since I finished studying in October), therefore all the pictures I hosted there (which means the JackDav pics as well as my own fanart) are down. I still HAVE everything on my harddrive, so I did not lose anyway, however I will need to find an alternative. So don't wonder about broken links for now. Sorry.

04:46 pm - And once more, a call to arms...err...libraries -please? Once more, I have found rare Jack Davenport material in British libraries.
And once more, they won't do an international library loan.
So, the request:
Is there anyone from the UK who has access to a British Library (probably university library, but I'm not sure and could interlibrary-loan a VHS cassette from the Lanchester Library in Coventry, and make a copy (preferably digital, but I'll take anything) for me? Pretty pretty please? I would happily cover any and all costs involved, and also pay for your time, or, if you so prefer, make a picture of your choice. Or much of anything I'm able to do.
It's about JackDav on the Galapagos in shorts. *grin*

01:36 pm - Random trivia... Nigel Davenport (Jack Davenport's father) played in a 1982 TV series called "Don't Rock the Boat."
I'm easily amused.

03:00 pm - *waves* BOO!
Not dead (unsurprisingly), not even that busy (more surprisingly), just...how to put it...caught up in growing up. I'm doing my court practice now, I seem to be doing well and already got to write some judgements as well. Though, to be honest, it is boring. I am used to the driven work in a huge corporate law practice, and to my own surprise, I LIKED that. I don't want to work a 60 hours week...I want normal 40 hours, or slightly less even... but I want to WORK in that time. Sitting around at work, biding time, but NOT being able to go home, even if I have nothing to do...it's bad for my own drive and motivation.
That, and being called by THE senior partner of one of Austria's biggest law firms, being asked how I was doing, and basically making me an "unlimited" job offer... that does give me a kick.
And makes me scared as hell. Bloody growing up.
On the other use, somewhat more surprising, perhaps, my interest in POTC is not fading. I haven't read new stories in a while, haven't done much, but I still keep in contact, and right now, I'm reading a bit again, and the boys are back on my mind. Photoshop is open too. I'm not saying I'm back, or promising to be good on LJ or anything, just... I think I'm having another surge of memory how much I love them. Or something.
I wager this counts as rambling, but I did feel like posting on LJ again, and this is what is going through my head right now. Cheers everyone!

10:01 pm - Mmm...coffee I like coffee. And I'm drinking way too much of it in the practice.
On another note, I need to look for some new webspace for myself, now that I'm done with Uni. I hope they won't delete it too soon.
Jack Dav likes coffee too.
( And I have pictures of him drinking it - Brand new )

09:42 am - You may call me Master.... The day before yesterday, I picked up my diploma papers. I am now a Magistra, i.e. the equivalent of a LLM.
Next week I'll be working at the lawpractice again where I worked in September, for now only two days a week though.
...I don't FEEL all that grown-up. I'm not a kid anymore, haven't been for a while, but it's a whole different world to suddenly be done studying (not that it's unlikely I'll do some postgraduate work at some point soon)
I am done. Cool. And scary.

10:27 am - VERY belated pimpage I wanted to do this when she posted it..and forgot...shame on me.
Well, this way, maybe it reaches even more people with the time difference.
If you haven't done so, check out porridgebird's NC-17 Sparrington fanart Rendevouz and go tell her how awesome it is!
(I'm good. Had my last exam on Monday. If I passed, which I think I did, I now get my law degree. PAnIC!)

04:27 pm - Whheeee! Thanks everyone for the kind birthday wishes (and spankings...*COUGH*) yesterday! I spent most of the day at work so I didn't have a lot of time, but I do hope I thanked everyone properly.
Speaking of work, it's quite exciting, although the state of constant dread of being asked to do something wore me down the first few days. It's getting better now and I think I'm doing rather well so far. (I have a traineeship at a HUGE law practice here in Vienna, and it's the first time I ever actually WORK in that field) It's exhausting, but my boss (and I happen to be the trainee that is assigned to the senior partner) seems to be quite contented with my work and gives me quite some chances to observe meetings or listen to phone calls.
Anyway, I got some lovely presents, also online ones, and these I would like to share with y'all.
porridgebird23 gave me cake...or tried to...
and lapetite_kiki made a Sparrington Manip for me. She says it's worksafe, I'm not quite so sure, because it's definitely very...dirty.
Off to prepare my party for tonight ;)

03:59 pm - Oh my gosh. IDIOTS. So after not watching Grey's Anatomy for the last season because the 3rd season was full of drama crap, I was watching some of season 4 this week because I heard it was better and I wanted SOMETHING on TV that I could watch cosily next to photoshopping. Anyway. In general, yes, season 4 is better so far, but the episode "Crash Into me"....YIKES.
( I suppose spoiler cuts aren't necessary for a show that's over half a year old, but this is to save others from rambling. ) Current Mood: shocked

11:52 am - FANART: Purr-ley Well, well,it's been a long time since I did this, longer since I posted it. But here comes new fanart from yours truly. Hope you enjoy!
Title: Purr-ley Pairing: Sparrington Rating: PG-13 Disclaimer: For this image, I used characters from Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean which are not mine. I also used photos as a base from which to work, most of which were not mine. I make no profit from this nor do I intend to, yet, if you as a photographer recognise your work and want me to remove the picture, let me know and I will do so right away. In turn, there are heavily painted elements in this picture which are my work and my work alone. I ask other artists to respect this and not steal. Please do not repost any of my work anywhere without obtaining permission. Feedback: I work hard on my artwork. I appreciate comments, ranging from squees to wordy comments, and also constructive criticism. I love it all.
My thanks as always to my loyal online betas, especially porridgebird

07:19 pm - Home from Summer School... Spent 4 weeks in Strobl (a small Austrian town near a huge wonderful lake) with 90 international students. More work than expected, but also a lot of party and fun. And the best gay Frenchman ever. (I'm not kidding) Also holiday flings and dramas and a certain British 2 pence coin making for an excellent drinking game.
Afterwards, a bunch of them came to Vienna, so city tours, coffee, and more party.
My sleep deficit is epic. Well, after two days of sleeping nearly all day, it's maybe down to novel size ;)
Now is photoshop.
How are you guys doing?
